Dear Members, Please be advised of the following information:
At our June 22nd Monthly Membership Meeting, our Membership unanimously passed a Resolution that two fishing poles are allowed per person fishing.
Our club does not allow for the hunting of snapping turtles on our property because the New York State Law only allows the harvesting of snapping turtles during hunting season by use of firearm or bow. Our pond is in too close of a proximity to residential housing so this practice is prohibited due to the unsafe situation it would cause. Harvesting snapping turtles by any other means would be a violation of New York State Law, therefore it is not allowed on our property.
Fishing Members are only allowed up to 2 guests at a time. This does not apply to Family Memberships. All members who are fishing must sign in and sign out and complete all of the information including guests filling out and signing waivers and placing them in the envelopes provided. If the envelopes have run out, they can also be found at Range #5. The Fishing/Pond Committee Chair, Brian Barker must have a record of what you caught and released to keep a record of the number of the fish in the pond, and to maintain the biological integrity of the pond.
Thank you for your participation and compliance.

Shawangunk Fish and Game Association is well known for honoring our Veterans and providing them, as well as the youth of our community opportunities to fish and ice fish! Hudson Valley Honor Flight Chairman, Louis Ingrassia, has attended many of our events of free food, entertainment, and fishing to be a support and a friendly face to our Veterans and First Responders.
Safety is our Club's Top Priority!
