RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGE MASTER'S MESSAGE:
A message from your Rifle and Pistol Range Master, Joe Tavernise...
All Ranges are currently open again, as maintenance has been paused for the moment. Thank you
FISHING/POND COMMITTEE UPDATES:
Dear Members, Please be advised of the following information:
At our June 22nd Monthly Membership Meeting, our Membership unanimously passed a Resolution that two fishing poles are allowed per person fishing.
Our club does not allow for the hunting of snapping turtles on our property because the New York State Law only allows the harvesting of snapping turtles during hunting season by use of firearm or bow. Our pond is in too close of a proximity to residential housing so this practice is prohibited due to the unsafe situation it would cause. Harvesting snapping turtles by any other means would be a violation of New York State Law, therefore it is not allowed on our property.
Fishing Members are only allowed up to 2 guests at a time. This does not apply to Family Memberships. All members who are fishing must sign in and sign out and complete all of the information including guests filling out and signing waivers and placing them in the envelopes provided. If the envelopes have run out, they can also be found at Range #5. The Fishing/Pond Committee Chair, Brian Barker must have a record of what you caught and released to keep a record of the number of the fish in the pond, and to maintain the biological integrity of the pond.
Thank you for your participation and compliance.
TRAP COMMITTEE UPDATED HOURS AND RULES REMINDER:
Trap Committee Member, Craig Manning, has indicated at last night's Monthly Membership Meeting (June 22, 2026) that the Trap Range hours have changed. He also clarified a few Trap Range Rules.
The Trap Range is Open:
Wednesday and Friday Evenings from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M
Sunday Afternoons from Noon 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
The Trap Range is no longer open on Saturdays.
Regular Members may use their own equipment on the Trap Range when the Trap Range is not in Session but they do not have permission to use the Trap Equipment and they must clean up after themselves. If Regular Members wish to shoot Trap when the Trap Range is in Session, they must join the other Trap Shooters on the range and not use their own equipment.
ATTENTION NEW APPLICANTS FOR MEMBERSHIP: TO BE PLACED ON OUR WAITING LIST, PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING:
Our club no longer has a Post Office Box. Our application does still list the old address, and we are working on changing this form and printing new ones. Please do mail your application to 51 Beakes Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 instead. Thank you
